2.3.6 Mobile Printing


Purpose

To print the SAP transaction pages of your Liquid UI App in iOS.


Pre-Requisites

Printer Configurations on Liquid UI App.


Mobile Printing

As previously mentioned, there are two types of mobile printing that you can do with Liquid UI. These are as follows.

  • Bluetooth Printing
  • WLAN (WiFi) Printing

In the following sections, we will explain how to configure each type of printing on Liquid UI. All configurations can be done on the device and no modifications on GuiXT Server are necessary.


Configuring WLAN Mobile Printing

To configure mobile printing via wireless networks on Liquid UI, please do the following.

  1. Click on the Settings icon shown below.
     
  2. In the Settings screen, select WiFi
  3. Check the WI-FI connection and make sure it is turned on. Then connect to your preferred network. Once the connection succeeds, a blue checkmark will appear as shown below.
     
  4. Close the Settings screen and launch Liquid UI.
  5. Click on the SAP server in the bottom left corner of the screen. The following dialog will appear.
     
  6. Click on the Test Printer option. The following dialog will appear.
     
  7. Click on the TCP/IP Printer button. The following dialog will appear.
     
  8. Enter the printer's IP address and click OK.
  9. To print, click the Settings icon in the upper right corner of the Liquid UI display, as shown below.
     
  10. Scroll down and click the Print option as shown below.
     


Configuring Bluetooth Mobile Printing

To configure mobile printing via Bluetooth on Liquid UI, please do the following.

  1. Click the Settings icon on your device.
     
  2. The Settings pane will open. Click the Bluetooth option and move the slider to the 'On' position as shown below.
     
  3. Launch Liquid UI and press the name of your SAP application server in the lower right corner as shown below.
     
  4. A context menu will appear as shown above. Click the 'Test Printer' option.
  5. The following dialog will appear. Click the Bluetooth Printer button.
     
  6. A list of Bluetooth printers will appear if iOS compatible printers are available. Choose your printer.
     
  7. To print, click the Settings icon in the upper right corner of the Liquid UI display, as shown below.
     
  8. Scroll down and click the Print option as shown below.
